There a several ways to develop your community. Start by determining who it is you are wanting to support. Beginning with the people you know is a great first step to growing your support!

2. Social Media is Today’s Golden Ticket
In today’s fast paced world, consumers are constantly being bombarded with information. The average person is exposed to over 4000 ads a day! In order for you to cut through the clutter you need to have a presence on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. On Facebook you can create cause pages, share events, and help build your community. Twitter is the king when it comes to immediate communication with your audience, make sure your remember that it isn’t a one-way communication tool!

3. Keep Up-to-date
With the speed that society operates today, staying up-to-date is critical. Make sure to post, blog, tweet, and share regularly to stay relevant.

4. Simplicity is Key
Ever hear the phrase Keep It Simple Stupid? K.I.S.S. is a theory that helps you distill your ideas to its root. If it can’t fit onto one page, it’s overcomplicated. Short and sweet is the way to go! Gone are the days of long drawn out 
advertisements, in are the days of concise and witty one-line advertisements. 

5. Start With the End in Mind
We’ve all heard it before, “Where do you see yourself in five years?”. This simple question can help you define your goal as an organization and create a focus for your actions going forward. Determine first where you want to get to, then figure out the necessary steps to achieve that goal.
